In 1951 a small group of travel industry executives met in Hawaii and conceived an organization to promote and market travel to the exciting destinations bordering the Pacific Ocean. In 1953 PATA's headquarter was moved from Hawaii to San Francisco. In 1998, PATA relocated its headquarters from San Francisco to Bangkok to be in the heart of its membership region. Since then, PATA has grown to include memberships based in more than 90 destinations worldwide from both regional and national governments as well as by most of the airlines, cruise lines, hotel companies, and tour operators that serve the Asia Pacific region and beyond. PATA has official offices or representation in Beijing and London.
PATA New York Chapter is dedicated to facilitate meaningful partnerships to enhance the value, quality and sustainable growth of travel and tourism to and from countries in APAC, Europe, Africa, and the Americas.
