China – Vietnam Cross Border Tourism

Detian – Ban Gioc Waterfalls

Good news! The China-Vietnamese Detian (Ban Gioc) Cross border Tourism Cooperation Zone will start trial operation from September 15, 2023 to September 14, 2024!

Ban Gioc Waterfall is one of Vietnam’s natural gems. It is the largest natural waterfall in Southeast Asia and the 4th biggest waterfall on an international border in the world. Its immaculate waters are surrounded by breathtaking natural beauty, making it a must-visit destination if you are in Northern Vietnam. The waterfall is about 400km from the city of Hanoi. Detian is on the border of China’s southern Guangxi region and Vietnam, about 3 hours from Nanning. It’s especially cool if you’ve already visited Yangshuo and are looking for more karst landscapes to see in southern China, with a taste of Vietnam mixed in as well. This waterfall system is comprised of two parts. On the Chinese side of the Guichun River is the Detian Waterfall, meaning Virtuous Heaven Waterfall (德天瀑布 Détiān Pùbù). Then on the Vietnamese side is the Ban Gioc Waterfall (Banyue Waterfall in Chinese).

The annual Feast of San Gennaro 2023 is set in Little Italy, celebrating Italia with Italian food and free entertainment.Out-of-towners and locals get psyched for the annual Feast of San Gennaro and for good reason: the event includes the best spots in Little Italy. Eat at some of the best Italian restaurants in the city, watch colorful parades, catch live music and soak up all the fun of this early fall festival. Although the Feast of San Gennaro is a celebration of faith (folks tip their hats to the Patron Saint of Naples, Italy) the festive atmosphere, delicious food and colorful processions are what it’s known for.
