|The adventurous spirits of Gen Zers and millennials go beyond exploring local cuisine, as they also look for excitement within the bar scene. Approximately three-quarters of Gen Zers and millennials look for unique hotel bars during their travels — and they’re searching for more than just the average cocktail. The zero-proof movement has also continued to gain momentum across generations globally with travelers becoming more creative in their cocktail pursuits, such as opting for low or non-alcoholic beverages and cocktails.In addition to the sit-down dining experiences available on-property, people are in search of grab-and-go markets and wholesome snack options while traveling. In fact, 65% of millennials are turning to ordering apps for takeout regularly.

To answer these questions, Korea’s Ambassador for Cultural Cooperation, Sohn, Jie-ae, a former CNN Seoul correspondent, delves into the fundamental values and thoughts that underlie the strength of Korea’s cultural wave. The event, titled ‘Korea’s Culture Wave: The Story Behind Its Strength,’ will take place on Friday, December 8, at 4 pm at Columbia University.
